Courtney, Brandon, & Elaina Kennedy’s Story
Welcome to my new site about my life.
Introducing you to us on My-life blog
Hello, my name is Courtney Kennedy. I come from a small town in Rosehill, Mississippi. Its a small town in the middle of nowhere basically. My parents are Jennifer Cooley and Jr Litchfield. They are divorced. They have been for awhile. I am a wife, soon to be mother, and a Christian. 21 years I have spent on this earth and I certainly will say I have enjoyed every moment of it. My husband is William Brandon Kennedy. He is from a small town as well called Quitman, Mississippi. His parents are Kevin and Emilie Kennedy. His parents have been married for 25 years. Brandon and I got married on December 29th, 2018. It was the best day of my life. He is 22 years old and is the absolute love of my life. He is a husband, soon to be dad, and a Christian. I am 34 weeks pregnant as of April 9th, 2020 with our first child that is a girl. My due date is May 20th, 2020. We are overly excited about her arrival next month. We have named her Elaina Deles Kennedy. We also gave her the nickname of “EL”.
We started off in a loft barn in the yard of my husband’s parents house. We did tons of remodeling to it and made it a home for him and I for several months. We soon got word of a house right down the road from where we lived that had gone on sale. We went and looked at the house and fell completely in love with it. I imagined us in the house and everything. Two months went by and we moved in, it was the best day when we got the power and water turned on. We was so thrilled we moved all our stuff in that night. We was so happy that we had put a down payment into something we loved and wanted to live in. It’s cozy, tons of yard space, porch on the front, 3 bedroom house.
Brandon works at Hol-mac Corporation in Bay Springs, Mississippi. He loves his job. He is a Draftsman/Engineer. He plans to work there for awhile and hopes to move up in the company one day. He has worked at a few other jobs as well. I work at the Shepherd Staff in Enterprise, Ms. I am currently unemployed though due to the COVID-19 virus/pandemic of 2020. I was spending my days helping my sister-in-law at her tax job but as of right now they are shut down for two weeks as well. So now I am spending my time at home washing the babies clothes for her to be able to wear them once she is born, doing other house things, improving our house, etc. It has been exciting but still uncertain at times as well. This virus has given us more time to do things but the shelter in place order and everything has also gave everyone a scare. Being pregnant through this has also been hard. Two of my showers have been cancelled and are no longer happening. The Rule at Anderson Hospital in Meridian now is that you can only have one visitor throughout the labor. So with this being our first child and our families unable to come to see our childs birth has really been hard for me to grasp. Money issues also have arose and that is just another probem.I want this virus to go away more than anything. Im trying , though, to stay positive through this experience by reading my Bible, singing songs, enjoying yard walks, etc.
